Customer Journey Analytics brings cross-channel analysis to Adobe's ecosystem. Here's how it compares to traditional Analytics reporting.

The Shift to CJA
Customer Journey Analytics (CJA) is Adobe's next-generation analytics product built on AEP. Unlike traditional Analytics which uses its own data collection, CJA consumes data from AEP datasets.
Key Differences
| Feature | Adobe Analytics | CJA |
|---|---|---|
| Data Source | Analytics beacons | AEP datasets |
| Cross-channel | Limited | Native |
| Schema | Props/eVars/Events | XDM-based |
| Sessionization | Built-in | Configurable |
When to Choose CJA
If your organization is already on AEP and needs cross-channel journey analysis — web, app, CRM, call center — CJA is the natural choice. For standalone web analytics with mature reporting, Analytics still delivers.
Migration Path
Most enterprises run both in parallel during migration. Map your existing eVars and events to XDM fields, validate data parity, then gradually shift reporting to CJA workspaces.
